Spirited Art ® is an optimistic, creative class for folks who want to learn the basics of acrylic painting in the company of great friends and good wine. In each class we will show you step-by-step how to create your own masterpiece that you can be proud of and take home at the end of the night. Don’t worry if you can’t even draw a stick person. We believe it’s easier to learn when you’re having fun; and if you know your letters, shapes and colors then you are prepared to learn how to paint!

The Community Foundation and GiveRichmond.org have announced the dates for The Amazing Raise 2012.

6 AM September 19 through 6 PM September 20th

Last year, The Amazing Raise raised over $630,000 for 270 local non-profits. You can make 2012 even bigger by joining this unique “giving challeng” to support your favorite organization.

GFCFS Wins VHCF’s Alumni Achievement Award

I am thrilled to announce that GFCFS is the recipient of this year’s Virginia Health Care Foundation’s Alumni Achievement award.

This award is presented annually to a former VHCF grantee that has demonstrated remarkable success in sustaining itself and continuing to grow after its “graduation” from VHCF. The award comes with a $10,000 gift from Wells Fargo,

Thank You River City Give Camp!

Notice our new website look? A big thank you goes out to River City Give Camp volunteers for spending the weekend helping us re-design our site. Travis, John, Ian, Chris, and Lynn provided in-kind developer and designer services valued at $20,000 in this intensive “Give Camp”. Starting at 4pm on Friday and ending 3pm on Sunday, they camped out along with about 100 other people to give back to nonprofits. Find out more at www.rivercitygivecamp.org
